Bee Bosnak has been teaching since 2010. Her work is the Heal Yourself Method™, a body-based approach that braids yoga, meditation, and shadow work into a practice that holds in real life, not only in the room.
She founded The Virtual Studio in 2023, a digital sanctuary now serving members in more than twenty countries with daily practice, nervous system regulation, and the work she has been teaching in person for over a decade.
She teaches local classes in New York City and around Greenwood Lake, and leads retreats and workshops globally. The retreat in Bali returns this spring as Lead Yourself, the next evolution of the work, for its ninth annual gathering.
Her teaching has been featured at World Yoga Day on CNN, La Palestra, Project by Equinox, The Assemblage, Bali Spirit Festival, Exhale Spa, Gansevoort x Reebok, Times Square Summer Solstice, and Central Park Women's Day. Earlier this year, she spoke at the Endometriosis Foundation's Patient Day in New York on nervous system regulation and chronic pain.
Here is the long version.
Chronic asthma from the start.
Fighting for breath with an oxygen tank. Asthma took me to the corners of darkness as a small child.
My family moved to London and sought asylum. I learned English, got bullied, lived as a refugee. My asthma finally came under control.
After nine years without passports, my family got them back. We spent the Millennium in Berlin with my aunt. This was the year I started planning my way out.
Moved with a few hundred pounds. Found a roommate on roommates.com. Got a full-time job.
It changed the trajectory of my life. I started teaching immediately and created the Heal Yourself Method from my own practice, before I knew what I was building.
Got a divorce. Moved to New York City with fifty dollars and a bigger dream. This was the year everything changed.
January 1st. A hub for daily practice, nervous system regulation, and the work I'd been teaching in person for over a decade, made available anywhere.
Members in more than twenty countries. Speaking on chronic pain. Equine-Led Leadership as private work. The ninth annual retreat in Bali. The work is reaching the people it was built for.
The thesis has stayed the same the whole time. If you can feel it, you can heal it.
